Join us for a Handbuilding Ceramics Workshop!

We're excited to welcome ceramist Lauren Strybos of From Tree to Sea ceramics into our workshop space this fall for a hands-on hand-building ceramics workshop!

Learn the basics of handbuilding with clay in this make-your-own-pot workshop! In this workshop you will learn the process of pinch pot making and coil building to create a one of a kind plant pot. 

During this 2-3 hr class you will make a small pot & tray and decorate your pieces with underglaze. Following the session your work will be clear glazed and fired for you, then ready for pickup within 3-4 weeks. When you pick up your finished creations you’ll receive a potting kit & voucher for a free plant of your choosing! ($9 value max)

All tools & clay necessary will be provided as well as cold or hot drinks depending on the time of day. 

** Demo pieces will be present to give examples of shape, size & decorating options, but we welcome you to gather some inspiration for how you’d like to decorate your pot ahead of time!

Cost: $120 per person + GST 

Length: The class will last for about 2-3 hours

    Is there parking?
    Yes! Our Plant Plant location has plenty of free parking right outside the front door. 

    Where is the workshop space located?
    Our workshop space is located in our sister shop Plant Plant, located at 5-2501 Alyth Road SE. Please see the map here. It is just minutes away from our flagship store in the heart of Inglewood. 

    Are the tickets refundable?
    All workshop tickets are non-refundable. Should you need to cancel for any reason we can offer a refund up to one week before the event. As this is a guest workshop, we do not offer refunds less than one week before the workshop. If you have any questions, please call the shop at 403-585-4226. 

    What if I need to change my date?
    As this is a guest workshop, no date changes can be made.
