Join us for a 2-week long course providing you with all the tools and information to create your indoor jungle. Each week we'll cover a range of topics through presentations, exercises, and activities. Light lunch provided.
Each week we'll cover a different set of topics:
Week 1:
Botany : Structure (The Make up of a plant), Physiology (A deeper dive into what goes on inside a plant: Photosynthesis, transpiration, hormones), Botanical Grammar (Latin names, terminology)
The Houseplants : Understanding lighting, choosing plants based on location, identifying characteristics of plants and their potential care.
Week 2:
Trouble-shooting Houseplants : Understanding pests, disease, fertilizer & maintenance.
Plant Design : Indoor landscaping, experimenting with indoor plants, and understanding materials.
We’re excited to welcome you into our brand new workshop space located at 5-2501 Alyth Road SE, where you’ll enjoy a 2.5 hour interactive class. Please see the map for location details as all workshops are held at Plant Plant (our sister shop) just minutes away from our mainstreet Inglewood location.

Cost: $225 per person + Tax
Length: 4 hours per week(break for lunch), 2 weeks in length
The workshop includes:
- Indoor plant information, presentations, and guides for caring and maintaining houseplants
- Tools for indoor plants
- Gardening Journal, plant index, and resource book
- Plants, planters, and a wide range of materials used each week during the course ($150 value)
- Light Lunch & Cold/Warm Beverages

Is there parking?
Yes! Our Plant Plant location has plenty of free parking right outside the front door.
Where is the workshop space located?
Our workshop space is located in our sister shop Plant Plant, located at 5-2501 Alyth Road SE. Please see the map here. It is just minutes away from our flagship store in the heart of Inglewood.
Are the tickets refundable?
All workshop tickets are non-refundable.
What if I need to change my date?
Please contact us at hello@plantshop.ca or call the shop at 403-585-4226 to make any necessary changes 3 days before the class. Any changes after within 72 hours of the workshop are not guaranteed.
